The Ottawa Professional Fire Fighters Association has a long-standing tradition of hosting a Remembrance Day breakfast at Station 24 which is attended by local politicians from all levels of government before they pay their respects at ceremonies across the city. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 we are unable to host the breakfast for the second year in a row.
In lieu of this year's event we've produced a Remembrance Day video (in collaboration with David McEvoy of the Bytown Fire Brigade) which honours our veterans and highlights Ottawa firefighters’ own tradition of military service. Thank you to all of the retired members who provided information about and photos of Ottawa firefighters who served in the military!
