Maureen Ann Renaud (née Dell) 1950 - 2022 Maureen Ann Renaud, passed away peacefully in hospital, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at the age of 71. She was the beloved wife of Jean-Pierre “Peter” and devoted mother of Jeffrey and Steven. Dear sister of Frederick Dell and Paul Dell. Predeceased by her parents Violet and Frederick Dell.
Maureen was born and raised in London, England. Moving to Ottawa, ON in 1974 and soon after married her husband Jean-Pierre Renaud in 1982. She was blessed to have enjoyed her career as a Global Events Planner for companies such as Cognos, Catena Networks, Ciena Telecommunications and Blacksky. During her career she traveled to over 67 countries and created many strong and lasting relationships all over the world. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her extended family, friends and former colleagues.
The family would like to thank the staff in the Oncology Unit at the General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion during her recent stay, as well as the support and care she received at the Cancer Clinic during her heroic 5-year battle with cancer.
A memorial visitation and service will be held at Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, Ottawa on Friday, September 30th from 1:00 pm until time of the Memorial Service, which will be held in the Chapel at 3:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
