On last Friday December 30th, long-time Senior Administrative Assistant to the Fire Chief Johanne Laferriere worked her last day and received a well-deserved send-off with the bagpipes and all. (see attached video)

Johanne worked at total of 33 years for the City of Ottawa with 26 of those years in the office of the Fire Chief. She worked under six different Fire Chiefs, from Gary Richardson to Rick Larabie, John deHooge, Gerry Pingitore, Kim Ayotte and Paul Hutt.
